This pair of conjoined twins, born in 1961, is the oldest pair of conjoined twins still alive. Even though their heads are joined, the twins have lived very different lives, which is not what doctors expected. Lori is good at bowling, has been in a lot of relationships, and was even engaged. George, who was born Dori, became a man in 2007.
Their amazing story started with a hard childhood, when they were put in an institution because of a condition that made them different. They were very strong and independent, though, and in the end won a court case to live on their own. They now live together in a two-bedroom apartment and spend the nights switching rooms.
Even though it can be hard to be a conjoined twin, Lori has been open about her relationships and private times. She had her first boyfriend when she was 23 and has had several since then. George often goes on dates with her and brings a book to read. The tragic death of Lori’s fiancé in a car accident in 2017 broke her heart.
In 2007, George changed his gender and has been a rock of support for Lori her whole life. Even though George’s transition shocked Lori at first, she has been very helpful and knows that their bond can’t be broken.
The story of the twins shows how strong, flexible, and always there for each other they are. Even though they have problems, Lori and George continue to live their lives to the best, showing others how strong their bond and determination are.
