So Anna Kane, wife of NHL star Evander Kane, has stepped into the spotlight, breaking her silence in the high-stakes lawsuit against Diddy. After initially filing her case as “Jane Doe,” Anna was forced to reveal her identity in court, and now she’s speaking out despite alleged threats and intimidation.
She accused Diddy and others of some heinous acts dating back two decades, and now that she’s out of the shadows, there’s a target on her back. But Anna’s not backing down like Diddy hoped she would. Just what Anna is saying? And is there really a price on her head? More importantly, what does this mean for her case against Diddy going forward?
Anna Kane, Diddy Accuser Who Says He Assaulted Her As A Teen In Lawsuit, Reveals Identity: ‘I Am Not Intimidated’
Anna Kane, the woman who anonymously filed a s3xual assault lawsuit against Sean “Diddy” Combs in 2023, has now revealed her identity. As Kane, the ex-wife of Edmonton Oilers player Evander Kane, filed her amended complaint in Federal District Court in Manhattan on Friday, the court ruled that she must use her real name to move forward.
“I had hoped to use a pseudonym in pursuing justice for what happened to me as a teenager,” Kane told People. “Defendants’ demand that I use my name was an attempt to intimidate me, but I am not intimidated. I am prepared to proceed and hold accountable those who have harmed me.”1
In her lawsuit, Kane named Combs and former Bad Boy CEO Harve Pierre, as well as another unknown associate. According to US Magazine, Kane said she was s3x-trafficked and gang-raped by the group in 2008. Kane’s lawyer, Douglas H. Wigdor, said in 2023 that “Defendants preyed on a vulnerable high school teenager as part of a s3x trafficking scheme that involved plying her with drugs and alcohol.”
“The depravity of these abhorrent acts has, not surprisingly, scarred our client for life,” Wigdor stated, per People.
According to the lawsuit, Pierre first met Kane at a Detroit-area lounge. He then persuaded her to go with him and another person to New Jersey, per the complaint. That’s when the group arrived at Combs’ house, per the lawsuit, and Kane was allegedly assaulted. The teenager was given drugs and alcohol, then “viciously gang raped” “one after the other,” the complaint states.
Kane said she pleaded for the three men to stop assaulting her, but they continued to rape her in the bathroom, taking turns. The lawsuit adds that Kane woke up in fetal position on the floor, feeling vaginal pain after she blacked out. The teen eventually “regained her bearings” and she was taken to an airport to fly back to Michigan, the lawsuit states.
As People reported, Kane “accused her ex Evander Kane of domestic violence and s3xual assault and alleged he had thrown NHL games he played in as a San Jose Sharks left winger after betting on them. Evander vehemently denied those claims in a statement on Twitter in August 2021. The NHL later found no evidence he had bet on games. The pair split in 2020 and Anna filed for divorce in July 2021.”
Combs, who is still held in a Brooklyn federal prison on s3x trafficking and racketeering charges as he continues to face multiple accusations, has denied Kane’s allegations. In a statement in 2023, Combs said “Enough Is Enough.”
“For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy,”1 Combs said in a statement to People. “Sickening allegations have been made against me by individuals looking for a quick payday. Let me be absolutely clear: I did not do any of the awful things being alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and for the truth.”
